Hayashi is a fast-paced platformer taking place in ancient Japan. You play as a monk that utilizes magic masks in order to cleanse various shrines from evil demons.


Throughout the levels of the game, the player finds spirit essence of various amounts, which she/he can spend at the end of every level to upgrade the power of every mask.

  • Balanced player movement, abilities and weapons
  • Balanced enemy AI, including movement, damage and abilities
  • Created placeholder sprites for the modular tileset
